Broken Courier is a replayable mission from Destiny 2: Forsaken. While I had little input on the spaces used for this mission (due to a major reboot of story and campaign direction after the world art had been mostly finished), I did script all of the combat encounters, dialogue, gameplay vignettes, light puzzle elements, and the custom boss encounter that concludes the mission.

The goal of this part of the release was to give players a more challenging destination to explore, so I designed this mission to feel a little more like a strike (matchmade Destiny 2 content intended to be more challenging) than a typical campaign story mission. From the player’s perspective, this generally meant that each and every combat encounter was at or near the game’s maximum combatant count. This also helped keep it engaging as a replayable activity as part of the destination’s core gameplay and reward loop.
